Services

The scheduled channel on TV Christchurch will work very much like conventional TV: There will be an ongoing programme running throughout the day, featuring all the material produced by TV Christchurch, including features, shows recorded live, TV Christchurch series, etc. Of course we don't have the resources of the BBC, so we can't offer 24 hours of different programming each day, or even each week, but we hope you'll find something of interest to 'dip into' whenever you visit.

The Evergreen channel will celebrate the lives and achievements of senior Christchurch residents, and give some idea of the varied options for retirement living in Christchurch. There'll be chance to eavesdrop on local senior residents talking about things that matter locally.

Ever wondered where to take the kids? What the local pre-school groups are like? What's in it for kids at the library, theme parks? Are local parks child friendly? This, and many other questions will be looked at on the Family channel, together with stories and locally produced or recorded entertainment for kids.

TV Christchurch will bring you recordings of selected live events at the Regent Centre - the first will be Elkie Brooks live at the Regent, to be made available on the channel in December, and we expect to build a good repertoire of music, family entertainment, local music and rock groups and other shows over the coming months. There will also be some offerings from the highly regarded media centre of Bournemouth & Poole College.

This is the channel to look at a range of local lifestyle services and facilities: health & fitness, arts & crafts, hobbies, sailing and watersports, leisure facilities, and all those things which make Christchurch one of the most highly regarded places to live in the country.

This is where you can find out more about Christchurch and Dorset services, local businesses, and the work of the Christchurch Community Partnership. We hope to include virtual tours of services which might intimidate some people, include interactve features to give you an opportunity to play a part in future plans for the town, and hear what the great and good have to say about the future of Christchurch.
